Both. Reflectors and a light are very important, especially when riding at dusk. Reflectors should be on both wheels, and on the back of the seat. A light can be mounted on the handlebars. Keep in mind, night riding is not allowed in Ohio unless a bicycle has reflectors and a light               What should I look for in a safety Helmet Check the inside of a bicycle helmet for a sticker of approval from the American Society for Testing and Material (ASTM) or the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The helmet also should have: A smooth outer shell (not squared-off) Vents that provide airflow and keep your child’s head cool (Too many vents limit the amount of cushioning foam in the helmet.) Bright colors to increase your child’s visibility to motorists.
